The Arc of Wake County 40th Annual Gala Auction

Arc of Wake County, a national organization on mental retardation, will hold its 40th Annual Gala Auction at the Wake County Shrine Club on Saturday, November 3rd at 7pm.

The Arc, a national organization on mental retardation, was founded in 1950 by a group of parents concerned about the lack of services for their sons and daughters with mental retardation. The Arc movement quickly spread throughout the United States. Since then, the nearly 1,000 state and local chapters of The Arc and their members have advocated for community services to support people with mental retardation and their families.
